1. Blue Ridge Parkway

A popular destination through Virginia and North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Parkway can elevate your fall foliage viewing experience. Jump in your new Ford for sale and plan stops at the scenic overlooks that are scattered all along the parkway. Take a hike along Mount Mitchell or Grandfather Mountain for a more immersive experience.

2. Michigan’s Upper Peninsula

Take a trip around the 5-hour loop of Michigan’s upper peninsula to see amazing foliage and, if you’re lucky, a bear. Starting in Newberry, this drive passes by Crisp Point Lighthouse and Tahquamenon Falls.

3. Mohawk Trail Scenic Byway

A 69-mile stretch in Massachusetts, the Mohawk Trail Byway sends you through darling Massachusetts towns in between the gorgeous array of bold and vibrant leaf colors. Check out nearby Hairpin Turn and Mount Greylock for extraordinary views.

4. Big Sky Backcountry Scenic Byway

Drive through 105 miles of scenery in eastern Montana. It connects the Yellowstone River and the Missouri River and is full of buttes, flatlands, and prairies. Check out some of the views as you travel through the state looking for fall colors or do a side trip to go hunting or fishing.

5. Skyline Drive

A twisty 105 miles of roadway awaits you in the Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. From September to November, the leaves start changing based on the various elevations throughout the drive.

On the west coast of Oregon, you can find the Columbia River Highway. It’s full of the color from maples and oaks changing in the fall. You can find waterfalls along this route, pick one for a perfect lunch stop.
